The Hollow in Steal Or Die (Roblox): Counter the Tall Crawler
The Hollow is the second named Steal Or Die entity: a tall crawler whose player-side vision is heavily restricted. Official card, counterplay, and the 1-of-3 note.

What happens to entities during FULL BLACKOUT?
Steal Or Die has named two of its entities. The Hollow is the one already in the room — a tall, pale crawler that the official card promises will not let you go. This file pulls from the official description and card art, the in-game tutorial, and community gameplay, and it stays honest where the record is silent: no speed, health, or damage numbers exist for any entity in this game, and none are invented here.

Who Is The Hollow in Steal Or Die?
The Hollow is the second named entity in the official game description, alongside The Locust. The official artwork shows an extremely tall, thin figure with long limbs and a pale, rounded head, crawling over office furniture in a dark workspace — the Office map’s signature threat in art form. The silhouette reads less like a stalker scanning for you and more like something that has already closed the distance.
What Does the Official Card Say?
Two lines: IT WON’T LET YOU GO and THE HOLLOW — 1 OF 3 ENTITIES. That second line deserves a note. The card series says three entities; the current official description says four. The likeliest reading is that the promo art predates the fourth entity — the roster grew after the cards were made. This wiki follows the current official count (four) and holds the same line on the rest: only The Hollow and The Locust are named, and the other two stay unnamed no matter what unofficial names circulate.
How Restricted Is Its Vision, Really?
The most community-observed fact about The Hollow is what its player sees. Two creators who played as it — independently — described a badly shrunken field of view. One asked why he could see like this while squinting through the match; the other simply reported that he could see half his screen and nothing more. Restricted vision is not an official stat, but it is the best-attested behavior on record for this entity, and it shapes every piece of counterplay below.

This stream contains the monster-view footage and a live FULL BLACKOUT — both referenced in this file:

How Do You Survive The Hollow?
The toolkit is space, not silence — silence is The Locust’s problem:
- Never share a hallway. The Hollow’s restricted vision makes it a close-quarters threat. Long sightlines and open rooms favor you; narrow corridors favor it.
- Break line of sight early and often. Doors, corners, furniture — every break forces its player to re-find you. Doors specifically: entities have been seen ripping them open in community gameplay, so treat a closed door as a delay, not a wall. The barricade kit from the lobby shop (200, per a community report citing the official description) is the stronger door play.
- Use the building’s verticality. The Office has an upstairs; the American Dorm runs two floors with multiple exits. Height plus distance is the cheapest counter to a crawler that sees half a screen.
- Do not treat lockers as endings. Entities have pulled hiding survivors out of closets on camera. A locker is a pause button, not a save point.

The full hiding toolkit — vents and their screwdriver requirement, barricades, mic and flashlight discipline — is in how to hide.
What Does FULL BLACKOUT Change for The Hollow?
FULL BLACKOUT is the one rare event with observed effects, and it hits these matchups hardest. In community gameplay the map went fully dark and an on-screen line warned, in effect: it sees in dark, you do not — and now it is angry, with audible growling to drive the point home. In a blackout your flashlight becomes a beacon, and every route you do not know by heart becomes a gamble. The other listed events, BLOODBATH and MALFUNCTION, have no observed effects yet and get no claims here.
What Is It Like to Play as The Hollow?
Monster-side notes here are general entity play observed on stream — entity-specific data is not published yet. Slow, patient, and half-blind — by the accounts of the players who have drawn it. You compensate with listening: survivors whistle, talk, and knock things over, and each sound is a ping. The kit matches what all entities share per community gameplay: a stamina bar, a jump on cooldown, the ability to rip doors, and spectators who may snitch positions to you. One cultural footnote: a Brazilian creator called it “O Vazio” — The Void — an unofficial fan translation that circulated in the PT-BR community but carries no official weight.
The Hollow vs. The Locust
The Hollow punishes proximity; The Locust punishes noise. Against The Hollow you manage space and doorways; against The Locust you manage sound and light. Neither has official stats, so the tier list profiles them by hunting style instead of ranking numbers. Start from the bosses index for the rest of the entity coverage, and see the beginner guide for the heist loop both of them hunt you in.
